Evolve FS is ARC8's interpretation of an XC bike. We naturally wanted it to be light and fast on a race track. But most importantly, we wanted to bring that speed onto your trails. We were riding what is now called Down Country bikes all our lives. Until now, they were just The XC bikes upgraded with 120 mm travel forks, shorter stems, wider bars and a dropper seat post. We see this as the standard configuration of a modern XC bike, so we designed the Evolve FS for it from the beginning, with the option to go down to a 100 mm fork for racing.
We combined the lightest construction we could think of with a radical geometry and an extremely efficient suspension. It makes you fly up the climb before diving into the descent full of confidence. And where your ride would end on another bike, you go up the next mountain.The ideal bike no matter whether you are at the starting line of a race, racking up KOMs and kilometers of single trail, or just on a short and intense evening ride.

DUAL PIVOT SUSPENSION

In our Dual Pivot Suspension System, a slider replaces the previous linkage. This slider simulates an almost infinitely long lever, resulting in a kinematics that provides an almost perfectly linear-progressive curve. The slider provides precise suspension control, with a very sensitive initial response and then evenly releases the travel. This ensures a controlled feeling throughout the entire travel.

LAYUP

To achieve the optimal layup, a lot of work went into FEM calculations: we analyzed over 50 different layups for the first version of the Evolve FS. The new revised version has been additionally reinforced in specific areas, resulting in a stiffness gain of 4% compared to the previous model.

WEIGHT

All the FEM calculations and simulations paid off: in the end, we held one of the lightest XC frames in our hands. With a frame weight of approximately 1.320 g, the Evolve FS is definitely one of the lightest in its class.

GEOMETRY

The core of the Evolve FS, alongside the slider technology, is its geometry. With a long reach combined with a slack head angle, it provides downhill confidence like never before.

BOTTLE CAGE

Whether it's long marathons or extended rides on hot summer days, the Evolve FS accommodates two water bottles and is now even Fidlock-ready. This means the Fidlock base is already included in the delivery. All you need to do is clip in your Fidlock bottle and you're good to go.

AERO DOWN TUBE

The down tube of the Evolve FS is aerodynamically shaped, not only giving it a sleek appearance but also making it faster. Additionally, the high bend provides less surface area for dirt to stick to.

REVERSED MAIN PIVOT

The swingarm goes into the seat tube rather than around it, creating a very stiff connection. ARC8 are using Enduro Max bearings, specifically designed for MTB full suspension frames.

FASERWRK BASLERSTAB

To make the Evolve FS even lighter, pair it with our Baslerstab carbon handlebar. With a standard width of 800mm, you can perfectly cut it to your preferred handlebar width.
